A powerful Swedish abstract painting titled Stormträd — “Storm Tree” — dating from 1968.

The composition is built through exceptionally thick, sculptural impasto in deep charcoal, blue and grey, with flashes of white, green and red. Its richly worked surface gives the painting a dramatic presence that changes beautifully with the light.

Signed in the lower-right corner. The title Stormträd and the date 1968 are inscribed on the reverse. The artist has not yet been identified.
